Important Information for Users
From MMILC
The MMILC combines citation rules from the Australian Guide to Legal Citation (AGLC) and the previously unpublished in-house citation guide for the Melbourne Journal of International Law. To reflect this, all rules forming part of the Australian Guide to Legal Citation appear in unshaded boxes and are labelled with their corresponding rule numbers. All rules that deviate from the AGLC or that are previously unpublished appear in yellow boxes, or in unshaded boxes without a rule number.
Students of the University of Melbourne Law Faculty should note that for assessment purposes, only the Australian Guide to Legal Citation rules should be followed.
All users of the MMILC should note that The Melbourne University Law Review Association and the Australian Guide to Legal Citation do not endorse these rules and the rules contained in the MMILC do not in any way modify or change the rules contained in the Australian Guide to Legal Citation.
